Hello everyone, this week’s Friday Feature reviews the Awesome Teleporters! mod!
What it is:
This awesome mod adds items to the game that allow for teleporting around maps, transferring across the cluster, teleporting/finding dinos, and recovering player bodies. All of the features this mod brings help in making the Ark playing experience a little less frustrating :).
This mod adds three very useful items to the game:
(All engrams can be unlocked at level 1.)
Awesome Teleporter:
The Awesome teleporter is a small teleporter pad that can be placed on the ground.
If you press the “f” key while looking at the teleporter it brings up the teleporter’s inventory, which acts the same as a transmitter’s inventory. In this inventory you can upload creature data, ark data, and transfer to another server.
If you press the “e” key while looking at the teleporter you’ll bring up the telporter’s teleportation options menu.
This menu is a list of all the possible places you can teleport to and their coordinates on the map. The first option on the list is “Last Remote Location.” This is the last location you teleported from when using the Awesome Remote, which we will discuss later. The next three options “Tribute Terminal” are the obelisks located on the map. All of the other listings in orange are the names of other teleporters whose owners have made them public for other players to use. The green listings are your tribe's teleporters.
Fun fact:
If you’re having a hard time finding the teleporters you always like to use, or are just tired of scrolling through the list to find your own tele, you can click the star next to the teleporter’s name in the list to favorite it and bring it to the almost top of the list (Last remote location always takes fist spot.).
If you press and hold the “e” key while looking at the teleporter you’ll bring up the telporter’s option wheel. In this wheel there are several things you can do. We’ll start at the top option and work our way around!
The first option on the wheel is “Teleport” and it acts the same as if you were to press the “e” key on the teleporter to use its Teleport feature (Brings up the same menu as discussed above.).
The second option is “Find Dinos.”
Selecting this option will bring up a list of all the dinos you currently have out on the map, who have been fed an Awesome Dino Tracker (We will discuss this more later on, below.). By selecting a dino from this list, you can teleport it to the Awesome Teleporter pad you are using.
After that we have the “Retrieve Corpse” option.
This option allows you to retrieve your body bag (If there is one.) after you have died. However the Awesome Teleporter must have been placed before you died in order for it to know where your bag is. That is why it is always recommended to place a teleporter down first when making an outpost on a new map. It will save you a lot of trouble later on down the road.
Finally the last option we will talk about is the “Settings” option.
Opening this option will show you a list of settings you can use to change the size of your teleporter’s teleportation bubble, change the privacy settings of the teleporter (Who all can use/see it.), and choose whether or not dinos are allowed to be teleported using the teleporter.
Awesome Teleporter Remote:
This remote allows you to teleport from anywhere on the map and pull dinos that have been fed the Awesome Dino Tracker to your location. Can be used by equipping it and either right clicking or left clicking. Left clicking will pull up a teleport list like the one from the Awesome Teleporter.
Right clicking will bring up the list of all the dinos you currently have out on the map, who have been fed an Awesome Dino Tracker. Same as the list used when selecting “Find Dinos” from the Awesome Teleporter option wheel.
Awesome Dino Tracker:
The awesome dino tracker is what allows you to teleport/pull your dino to you using an Awesome Teleporter or Awesome Teleporter Remote. This feature is very useful incase you ever die and can’t find your dino afterwards, or you need to pull the dino out of a dangerous situation after getting killed off of its back (i.e. Wyvern fighting/egg grabbing.).
To use the Awesome dino tracker you must first force feed it to your dino in order for it to work. To force feed it, put the tracker in your dino’s inventory and click the “e” key while the tracker is selected.
Once the tracker has been force fed to the dino the dino will have a small blue location marker icon above its name when you look at it.

When going into the dino’s option wheel you will now notice there is a new Dino Tracker option. In this option you have the choice to upload your dino, or remove its tracker.
